BRUSSELS, 17 MAY - The looming confrontation between the 27 Member States on the draft of the European Commission to regulate the production of organic wine in the EU.
The proposal will be 'considered by the Regulatory Committee and the EU 27 are strongly divided on the reduction of the presence of sulfites in organic wine over what Brussels proposes: that is 100 milligrams per liter for red and 150 for whites. In conventional wine are allowed 150 milligrams for red and 200 for whites.
